- Judah relied on the
promises of God rather than on their own military might.
- Asa took great steps
toward ending idolatry in the land of Judah.
- There is a direct correlation between Asa’s obedience to the commands of God and to the eliminating of idolatry in the land and his ability to boldly ask the Lord to intervene on behalf of Judah. Without having taken such bold steps Asa could have had no such confidence.
