Nehemiah 1

Study 1 – Nehemiah 1

1. After hearing the news of the state of affairs in Jerusalem, Nehemiah spent four or five months mourning, fasting, and praying.

2. In his prayer, Nehemiah acknowledge that God was a covenant keeping God, but those covenants required obedience on the part of His people. Nehemiah confesses the sins of Israel, his family, and his own and repents of those sins and asks for forgiveness and restoration.
