Study 70 – Psalm 89:38-52
1. The psalmist desperately wants to see a
turnaround in the situation in Israel before his death. He asked the Lord to return
to “your former great love . . .” Thus, the psalmist appeals to God’s mercy and
love. He also appeals for the Lord to remember the promises made to David.
2. God sees the beginning from the end and will
do whatever is necessary in the short term to achieve His will in the long-term.
